Instructors of Russian as a foreign language Mogylnykh Maria I have graduated from Magnitogorsk State University. I have been teaching Russian as a foreign language since 2005 and simply love my job because it is a never ending, exciting and creative process. For me, teaching is like a drama performance where every play has its own scenario and the actors’ performance and their future success and personal development depend on the director’s professional expertise. After my own “performance” I love all kinds of dancing, conventional and ice. I also play ping-pong and am fond of meeting interesting people. Fokina Natalia I have been teaching Russian as a foreign language for over 30 years. Among my previous places of employment are the Friendship University of Russia, Russian language crash course centres, and the famous Cosmonaut Training Centre in Zvezdniy Gorodok where I taught Russian to French astronauts. I also worked at the University in Paris. I think my profession is one of the most exciting and challenging. It helps people to understand each other and appreciate the joy of communication. My guideline is a communicative method of teaching, and an individual approach to each and every student. I have lots of hobbies, too – life is so fascinating, isn’t it? Shevtsov Vladimir I’ve been teaching for 35 years, 8 as a resource specialist of Russian as a foreign language. I have taught Russian in lycees and universities in France. Being a confirmed Francophile, I believe cultural exchange between the two countries can greatly stimulate student interest in language studies. I am sure becoming aware that many of the world renowned works of literature, poetry and painting have been created by outstanding native speakers of these languages can also be beneficial factor. I take a keen interest in the history of France, especially the Consulate and imperial period, and have authored an art book “The Epoch of Napoleon Bonaparte as Depicted in Postcards and Poetry”.
